Do not be preoccupied with your emotions and miss the target that is set for you.
Emotions, be it positive or negative, can be quite overwhelming. You may think it is only
negative emotions you have to avoid, and you must fill your mind with positive emotions. There
can be some bit of exhilaration from this, but you are not prepared for the dejection once it
reaches its peak.
Negative emotions are not something to be avoided. Any emotion is a state of mind arising from
its interaction with the surroundings. Positivity and negativity are simply the attributes that you
attach to those. While the former makes you feel elated, the latter makes you feel miserable.
Both are simply nervous excitements in terms of physiology.
Any excitement has the capacity to overwhelm you. Once this happens you are easily
overpowered which results in your senses entering into auto mode. You are no more in control,
your senses too are not. The emotions begin to run the show, but the constant excited state
affects the body and in turn, affects the mind. Physical and mental degeneration follows.
Observe the emotions as they rise within you. Do not let them overcome you. Emotions do not
have the power to get anything done; you will become an average Joe at the most. Let your
mind be steady and relaxed. That is the sign of success.
