Our Activities

Nepal is among the Least developed countries (LDCs) according to the United Nations. LDCs are the low-income countries confronting severe structural impediments to sustainable development. They are highly vulnerable to economic and environmental shocks and have low levels of human assets. Additionally Nepal is a landlocked country adding on to the economic woes and other disadvantages, further lowering the Socio-economic Development and Human Development Index. The UN General Assembly resolution 63/227 recognizes the importance of the contributions of civil society and stresses the need for their active participation in the process of increasing awareness towards the needs of the LDCs with inputs and contributions. The 2015 earthquake has added further stress preventing people from having even the basic amenities, which many take for granted, in life.

The Mahagathe Foundation Public Charitable Trust, a registered charity from Bengaluru, India has taken it as our Divine Mission to respond to this call of the United Nations. In order to implement this we are assisted by the Dakshineshwar Dham Seva Sanstha, a registered charity from Rupandehi, Nepal.

Our efforts to this end are primarily focused within the Rupandehi District with an intend to reach out to the entire country. The movement is spearheaded from a tiny hamlet named Sisahaniya in the Siyari Rural Municipality of Nepal.
