Your value is not measured by the shortcomings of others. - Mahagathe

Your value is not measured by the shortcomings of others.

Your value is not measured by the shortcomings of others.

शमथ। Samatha

Do you often get harrowed by the shortcomings of others! Then it is time you take a relook at
yourself. You may be thinking highly of yourself, but you are too afraid to fail.

Who else can cover for you, but the weakest among you! What else can be your shield, but the
ineptitude of the gullible! Alas! How long can a cover made of the weak keep you out of the
storm! How long can a shield made of the vulnerable be of protection to you! The weak is
neither fit for sacrifice nor for forging an armour. An unfit sacrifice invites wrath just as a weak
armour brings sure death. The weak are protected.

Why are you afraid? What are you afraid of? Is it failure? It is time that you remeasure success.
But before you can measure it, you have to come down from the pedestal you have placed
yourself on. How often do you see the sky? People rarely look up; keeping yourself high up on a
pedestal means to go unnoticed. Come to the level ground and you will be seen. Do not try to
hide your shortcomings; nobody is going to flip you inside out. They see only you, not see
through you.

When you stop hiding your shortcomings, you will find your intelligence liberated. It brings to the
fore what is valuable. You will not be encumbered by the fear of failure or the allure of success.

Instead, intelligence will shine forth at all times, and you will be seen in its light. This is your true
value and honour.
