I have to set foot on the reality right before my eyes

I have to set foot on the reality right before my eyes.

शमथ। Samatha

Yesterday was beautiful, but today is not to be lived in the fragrance of yesterday. There are
always new flowers that bloom. There is something new every day. Why do you miss those?

To see the present, your mind must be free of its preoccupations. That does not mean you to be
careless. Knowledge of what is to be done does not prevent you from being present to what is in
front of you. In fact, it enables you to take informed decisions. A yes or a no will no more be the
result of your preoccupations but will arise from being fully available to what is at hand.

There have been easier moments in your life. When things are not going the way you want to
be, you want those easy moments to come back and stay in eternity. Such depictions are called
photographs. It is no more than learning about love from a romantic novel. It is like wishing for
winter in summer. Every day is precious. You can have your winters in summer if you are ready
to cultivate what is necessary to have that. But you cannot have them for free. Each season has
its own flowers, and they will bloom for you when you care for them.

Do not ask for an easy life. Instead, ask for the determination and courage to live life to its
fulness, appreciating and learning from every moment that comes to you.
