शमथ। Samatha

Life presents itself in every breath you take; there is a melody to it. You cannot stay aloof from
your breath, yet you hardly notice it. Start noticing your breath not when you are breathless, but
at all times. The messages to you are not to come from distant galaxies, but from the very
breath that moves through your body.

The one who has mastered the breath has mastered life. Mastery is often wrongly conceived as
imposing oneself on others; it is the lowest point you can find yourself at. The other petty idea of
mastery is being skillful; this too is wrong. Mastery involves being united with whatever or
whoever you want the Lordship of. But to have this, any idea of Lordship should not exist in your
psyche.

Existence wants you to be nothing short of a Master; only thus you shall realise the fulness of
your existence. Listen to your breath. Watch it as the tune changes. It is telling you how to
conduct yourself in a situation or what action is to be taken. It is silently teaching you to be the
Master by being one with you. Attune your mind and its actions to the melody of the breath. All
else are mere ideas, and are nothing short of gambling.
