Dreaming of a problem-free life is an open invitation to more problems.

शमथ। Samatha

Nobody likes to come across any problems in their lives, yet a major share of their lives are lost
in solving problems. Do you stop for a moment and think why things are the way they are, or do
you find yourself lost in endless wishing cycle of ‘let the problems go away’?
Finding yourself firefighting every day of your life can leave you drained and tired. When you
are tired you replace action, unconsciously, with daydreaming. In daydreaming, your thoughts
are often prefixed with, “If I had”, “If I were”, etc. You are not going to solve the problems by
dreaming of what you do not have, but end up more resentful, and crown yourself the monarch
of ‘victim-land’.

Life does not know you or anyone else; it is whole. You are intelligent to know this. What you
have perceived as problems are life expressing itself. You cannot solve those, because life is
not interested in solving what does not exist. Live through the expressions of life without trying to
fight it. Be graceful, not resentful. You will take effective action in all situations that you come
across by shifting your outlook. Otherwise all you will see, in between your daydreaming
sessions, will be problems and more problems.

Every moment is an invitation to live consciously. Until you see it you will keep tripping and
falling on the problems. Once you have seen, the vast treasure of life will not remain hidden
from you.
