Dharma is our friend, companion and guardian in the Way. To experience Dharma in our lives, we have to consciously acknowledge that we do not know ourselves fully and need friendship, companionship and guardianship to realise the self in its fulness.
Gratitude is the first experience of Dharma that we have. In gratitude we enter the room of self-addressal. What is revealed in that room, when received gratefully, elevates us to the second experience of Dharma as Humility, which in turn takes us in to the chamber of self-inquiry. It is in this chamber we begin to see the current reflection of our selves. What we see transforms us to look at others with a new eye, granting us the experience of Dharma as Forgiveness.
