Bliss is not an experience of pleasure, but being present to existence in its fulness. - Mahagathe

Bliss is not an experience of pleasure, but being present to existence in its fulness.

Bliss is not an experience of pleasure, but being present to existence in its fulness.

Everything that is born has to grow. Even in the thickest jungle, a tree finds a way to reach for
the sunlight. That is the only way it can survive. In human beings, this goes beyond survival.
Mental well-being is an intrinsic component of growth in a human being. This finds its
expression in the emotional and social spheres. Like the tree in the jungle, you find yourself
looking for a gap to find the sunlight in order to spread your influence in those spheres. Suddenly
you find somebody else driving into the parking spot you have been waiting for at an
unsupervised parking lot. Your frustration makes you want to quit or escape. In the modern
world, this is your first encounter with meditation.

Getting introduced to meditation is a blessing, but you cannot sustain the blessing for long if you
insist on an escape door. Bliss is not an alternative form of pleasure or heightened pleasure. It
is the supplement to your mind so that you can accept the reality of life and still grow. If you
miss out on this fact, it won’t be any different from thinking that you are healthy by consuming
only vitamin supplements.

Meditate, because it will take you to the sunlight.
